Threads for Thought

My feelings about the wintry weather that is now upon us got a little warmer when I recently discovered the Madeline Skirt in black from Threads for Thought. The skirt jumped off of the rack because of its soft, thin material, but I knew I was going to buy it when I saw firsthand that it's flattering on a curvy figure, unlike most soft material maxi skirts, which I find to be clingy and revealing. My favorite thing about winter fashion is wearing boots, and because this skirt is mullet style (shorter in the front, longer in the back), it'll be the perfect complement to cute boots, as well as tall socks, tights, etc. But perhaps most exciting about my find is that it served as my introduction to Threads for Thought—a truly inspiring sustainable, eco-friendly company that uses organic materials and fair labor practices to make cute, comfy casual ware. I found the skirt at Synergy Organic Clothing (synergyclothing.com) in downtown Santa Cruz, but it's also available (and for sale!) on the Threads for Thought website, threadsforthought.com.
