Sunny Street Style

Who: Marisol Ramirez

Location: Mission District of San Francisco

I have had the pleasure of being friends with Marisol Ramirez for the past eight years. A San Francisco native, she was a warm one-woman welcoming committee and one of the first friends I made upon moving here. Forget lighting up a room, this girl lights up an already sunny day. Marisol’s style is inspired by city living and while she isn‘t adverse to shopping malls and chain retailers, she‘s also a fan of seeking out vintage gems online and at local shops. She’s drawn to colorful accessories—specifically Native American-inspired jewelry, as she is a quarter Native American. Ramirez also leans toward dresses that can be layered with feminine jackets, paired with practical, yet fun, footwear.

Here, she’s wearing a black cotton dress from Nordstrom Rack, orange canvas flats from Urban Outfitters,  a vintage purse found on eBay, a white crocheted jacket by Free People, and a turquoise ring from Stone Pony, a local boutique. Whether keeping it casual for happy hour margaritas or dressing it up for an art opening, Ramirez always brings fun to whatever she’s wearing.
