The first annual Santa Cruz Fashion Week kicks off today, featuring gorgeous fall looks from Cameron Marks, a modern, stylish boutique in Santa Cruz, Calif.

The Looks: Timeless, original and individual. Both looks (above and below) are perfect for fall. Bundle up with a vibrant Patch scarf (above), one-of-a-kind earrings from Blank Verse Jewelry and perfect jeans by DL 1961, for a cool autumn outing. This beautiful dress from Erin Fetherson, in navy, with sheer black sleeves, is a perfect outfit for dressing up in the cooler months. Pair it with several vintage bronze bracelets, a Laura Lombardi necklace, a red lip, soft curls, and you'll make quite an entrance.

The Store: Vanessa Ambrose launched her store, Cameron Marks, seven years ago. The boutique (which sits next door to a delicious bakery, by the way) features an array of designers from across the world. Gorgeous leather handmade clutches come from Lithuania, clothing from Australian designer Natalie Wood, and the Portland Collection from the American Iconic Pendleton Woolen Mills are just a few of the notable lines found at Cameron Marks. Later this month, a second storefront will open just a few doors away and will feature accessories, shoes and more. The customer: Independent, strong, worldly, and fashionable. A quick interview with owner Vanessa Ambrose is below.

If a shopper at your store should invest in one fall piece, what should it be?
The gorgeous Grey Woolen Epaulet Coat by New York Designer Lauren Moffatt (image below). It surely is an investment piece (no doubt) but one that could carry you through for many a Fall season, not just this one.

What key styles were you looking for when you bought items for the fall?
When it comes to Fall I am always on the hunt for gorgeous coats and sweaters, which for some reason always seems to be quite a difficult quest. The designs of Lauren Moffatt, Demy Lee, Pendleton and Dutch label Maison Scotch saved the day this coming season.

Is your store influenced by trends?
To a point. Most importantly, I like to choose clothing that is of a certain quality in design, fabrication and cut. Designs that can transition from season to season. I like to think of them as on trend but not trendy.
