Linda Rodin: Icon

If someone asked me what I want to be when I grow up (even though I'm already a grown up), I could not think of a better answer than to be Linda Rodin. She's a Jack of All Things Fabulous. She started her career as a model in the '60s, went on to run a successful boutique in SoHo, which led her to her career as a stylist at Henri Bendel, only to later shine as a fashion editor at Harper’s Bazaar.

Through her decades of working with top designers, models, makeup artists, and other amazing humans in the industry, Rodin realized there was a need for simplicity in skincare products out on the market today. While the skincare game has been booming in the past decade, what other companies lacked was simplicity, yet effectiveness, in their ingredients. In 2007 Rodin formulated (in her own kitchen) and sold (to the masses) her very own beauty elixir, RODIN olio lusso face oil. The name, which loosely translates to “luxury oil” in Italian, is her way of honoring the effortless beauty of Italian women, which has inspired Rodin’s personal style.

While several of the ladies at The Penny Rose covet this beloved product, I love the woman behind the product. Rodin is known for her signature pink lipstick accompanied by a naked face lightly moisturized with, you guessed it, olio lusso.
