One Love

In the past few years, I have been making a concerted effort to eat healthy. Not so much a diet, per se, just eating whole, real foods that are organic, not processed, and somewhat good for me. This is not always the easiest task, but I do feel like I am doing the right thing for my body and the planet in general. Now that I have my healthier way of eating (mostly) down, I realize that it’s not only important what I put in my body, but what I put on my body. So, my quest begins to replace my current beauty products for products that are organic, natural and not going to end up poisoning me slowly through my skin. A wise friend told me that instead of just throwing my whole beauty cabinet in the trash, I should just replace things as they run out. Smart and economical! The most recent replacement needed was face wash. There are so many options, how to choose?

I have to admit the one that won me over did so with its cute packaging. And it was organic and natural, of course! One Love Organics’ Easy Does It Foaming Cleanser is made of organic ingredients (like Chilean soap bark and vegetable glycerin) and smells quite lovely. Faintly of springtime, if that makes sense. It lathers nicely, removes my eye makeup without irritating my eyes, and leaves my skin feeling clean, but not too dry. It also claims that you can use it for body wash and shampoo, meaning less products to buy. I have yet to use it on my body and hair, but I am very impressed with it as a face wash, and it has not made me break out at all, so I need to try its other uses. I think I have a new natural, organic go-to face wash and perhaps shampoo and body wash. Three products replaced with one! One love, indeed.
