I cannot get over the emergence of the belt bag. When I first saw them my thought was, "There's no way they brought back the fanny pack." Well, they did. If you're young enough to have never seen a fanny pack before, great, there's plenty to choose from and you'll look super cute at all the music festivals this summer. But as always, if you can remember the first wave, you're too old for it's revival. Well, this time there's another option: a more modern incarnation. You're not packing your life around your waist like you did back in the day; this new, streamlined version fits the essentials. Less is more especially during the summer when it's hot and you don't want any extra encumbrances. I haven't purchased mine yet, but it's inevitable. As a mom running around, I stopped carrying my shoulder bag; it was always in the way. I started packing the necessities into the pockets of my military jacket, but I can't wear that all through the hot months, its pockets stuffed to the nines as I navigate life with a baby and a toddler in tow. I need the belt bag to save me. It's now sleek, chic, and according to Hipsters for Sisters who make some of the best looking ones out there right now, even has the ability to slenderize. Sold.
