The questionable weather we have been experiencing in the past couple of days got me thinking about what one should be sporting in the summer during this weird damp and muggy climate. Only one designer's name popped into my mind: Stella McCartney. With a throng of celebrity friends and A-list models, the eco-friendly British designer threw a fabulous garden party (in very questionable weather) just a few weeks ago to debut her 2014 resort collection. "Come rain or shine, you can rely on us to have a bit of fun; lift your spirits," explained the designer to editors at Vogue. Her upbeat attitude and colorful frocks did indeed lift my glum spirits, and gave me inspiration to steer clear of my gloomy black palette, forcing me to give the colorful prints in my closet a chance to take a stroll around the grocery store. If this gloomy weather is affecting your mood (and fun summer wardrobe), I suggest you take a cue from McCartney and dress in layers to "celebrate life, fashion, and color." Happy summer!
