Fall Fashion—Mix and Match

Mixing patterns is one of the biggest go-to fashion trends right now. But you have to do it right. Instead of throwing on two random textiles, you must have an element that ties them together. It can be a color that seamlessly weaves through your ensemble. Or, choose one mellow pattern and one loud one, but both with complementary color schemes. As seen here, our fashion stylist Ellie Vilmenay took dark blue (a popular trend this season) and combined it with polka dots (as seen on the jeans), then found her key item to pair with the bold denim—a patterned top with inky-colored design by the always loveable Lauren Moffatt. The caramel colored coat with a faux fur collar adds a warm hue and protects this pattern-loving girl from the elements.
