Take a Few Minutes to Relax

It's the day after Christmas and it can be tough to come down from the manic preparations leading up to all that holiday cheer. Today might be the perfect time for some relaxation, even if it's simply slathering your hands with a favorite lotion and putting them in gloves while you watch your favorite movie. Taking a little time to pamper yourself might be just what you need to wind down.

Here are a few quick and easy recipes to try, using ingredients you probably already have on hand.

1. Candlelit Bath: Nothing is more relaxing than flickering candles. And if you have them, the addition of a handful of rose petals in the bath is good for the soul.

2. Body Scrub: Two parts brown sugar, one part honey and enough olive oil to achieve your desired consistency creates a body scrub for all seasons. Gently massage in slow circles and rinse for amazingly soft skin.

3.Foot Soak: Combine one cup Epsom salt, one peppermint tea bag and one chamomile tea bag in a basin of warm water. Soak feet for 30 minutes. (Recipe courtesy of Daisy Tang, founder of Aspara Aromatics.)

Alone or all together, take a few minutes to relax and enjoy.
