On the left is a photo of one of the most raved about skin care products I've ever used. On the right is a scary looking picture of me using it.
The product in question is the well-known and celebrity-hailed SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, a sheet of cotton that's been soaked in SK-II's magic ingredient: pitera, a yeast extract that is yielded in the process of making sake. It's said to significantly increase hydration, and you know what? It works. Amazingly. It's simple to use: tear off the top, pull out the mask, unfold, and drape on your clean face. Smother any extra liquid from the package on your neck.
As an on-camera actress, I had a feeling that this product would come into good use for me. So, recently, on the night before an audition, I wore it for 30 minutes, then unpeeled it and added moisturizer. (Don't wash it off.) The results? Stunning skin the next day, and for many days following. Verdict: I'm sold. At $90 for six masks, it's an investment, but one well worth making if your skin needs a serious pick me up or you have any upcoming special events.
