It's party season again and as always, there's not a thing to wear in my closet. In my twenties, I loved being able to take the time and plan an outfit from hair to accessories. My current life leaves little time for long, thoughtful daydreams about ensembles and so a beautiful dress that can be accessorized simply is a go-to piece.
My current picks are:
- A beautiful column dress in a seasonal red is always apropos. This one by Tibi is a blank canvas for myriad accessory combinations. It could work multiple for parties and will never be out of style.
- Black is always beautiful and with demure long sleeves and a flirty, feathered skirt, this dress from Elizabeth and James might feel a bit naughty, but is ultimately quite nice.
- Finally, who can resist the allure of sparkle? And in a soft, angelic pink, with tiny ruffles at the sleeves and hem, this dress by Tom Ford, could last a lifetime of parties.
