Portland Adventures: Betsy & Iya

Recently, I had an epic adventure to Mt. Rainier and beyond. Along the way, I had a chance to spend 24 hours in Portland and I hit up as many fashionable places as I could find. Among my stops, I spent some time at a new, beloved boutique, Betsy & Iya, which is a retail store selling beautiful wares including the store's own flagship jewelry line (Betsy & Iya). Helmed by owners/spouses Betsy Cross and Will Cervarich, Cross designs all the jewelry for the exquisite line that's "inspired by color, asymmetry, contrast, balance."

During my visit, I had a chance to explore the wealth of jewelry offerings and a few of my favorites are above. I also picked up a Modern Hair Tie by Caravan Pacific (seen above). The store also boasts a strong retail presence with curated accessories, bath goods and a limited but strong selection of clothing.

If you swing by, ask if you can have a tour (readily available) of the back workshop. It's a treat to see where your purchases are designed and created on site.

When you're in Portland, Ore., be sure to stop by this darling boutique and tell them The Penny Rose sent you. Betsy & Iya, 2403 NW Thurman Street, Portland, betsyandiya.com
