Portland Adventures: Spruce Apothecary

In June, I took an epic road trip adventure through Oregon and Washington. Along the way, I had a chance to stop in Portland for 24 hours and among my favorite discoveries, I found Spruce Apothecary. This modern, beautifully curated boutique for all things beauty-inclined is a gem. It's easy to spend hours here poring over the finely selected items. And it was only an appointment that dragged me away from this beauty destination, armed with a bag full of goodies.

Located in the charming Union Way alley/complex in Portland's shopping paradise of the West End area, this apothecary houses a collection of old favorites and new, undiscovered brands.

I left having picked up the following things: the Binchotan Eye Mask has absolutely changed how I sleep. This mask is infused with the "highest quality activated charcoal ... that helps to relieve fatigue by easing pressure on the optic nerve and promoting blood circulation to the eye area." It works. Best sleep of my life.

In need of a new eye cream as fine lines have been showing up lately, I reached out to REN Firm & Lift Eye Cream. I've tried a lot of eye creams in my years as a beauty editor and this one really works.

I also picked up a travel size Volume Powder by Sasha Juan. This clever product doubles as a volumizer and a dry shampoo. It's been giving my fine hair a happy boost.

If you're in Portland, be sure to check out this charming apothecary at 1022 W Burnside Street, Unit K. And if you can't make it there, visit the store's website at spruceapothecary.com.
