Everyone knows that French women have a certain je ne sais quoi when it comes to fashion. It's hard to peg down what it is that they do so well with clothing, but I'll attempt to give it a try. When I recently discovered the fashion line, Des Petits Hauts, I felt like I might have stumbled upon the answer: feminine, pretty clothes with a spring in their step. This appeals to me on a huge level—I've long been trying to nail down my style personality. I tried the hipster folksy look for a while. That didn't last long. I've tried the artistic/creative look, and while I certainly like that a whole lot, the clothes seem impossibly baggy, which is unflattering on my curves. But this—the way the French do it—this is where I'm starting to feel at home. Not only do I find the sweet styles attractive and long-lasting, but the fit—at least of this particular brand—is exquisite.
