Often my favorite beauty tips and tricks don’t come from the latest fashion magazine or even from Pinterest (which is chock full of great ideas). Some of my most-loved products and beauty secrets have been introduced to me by my close girlfriends. So, when I turned 30 a few months ago and noticed that my skin was looking tired and worn out (not good), I sought the advice of my girlfriends to find out what their favorite products were. I was desperate to find something that would make a dramatic difference. After picking their brains, I purchased Image Skincare, and I became an instant fan. The serum, tinted SPF moisturizer, and night cream, have made a huge difference in the appearance and feel of my skin. I have noticed my dark spots lightening and my skin looks so much brighter these days (not a day over 30). I am now recommending these to everyone I meet.
A few days later, I received an email from a friend raving about the wonders of the Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat. At $18, this nail polish top coat is a bit expensive but, the results are amazing: 10 days of shiny, chip-free nails without the cost of a weekly manicure. Most of the time when I paint my nails, they look pretty bad by the fourth day or so but this new Top Coat has changed things.
So what’s the moral of the story? Never be afraid to ask your friends (or even strangers) what makes them look so good. You never know what new product or trick you will learn that will get you feeling and looking your best.
