Beauty Review: Mimic Color, Gray Hair Coverage

I'll admit it, I have some pre-mature gray hair. It's genetic, what can you do about it? Well, in my case, touch it up every 14 days with hair dye, but in the meantime, because my hair grows so fast, those sparkly hairs start to show up sometimes in just a week after a dye job. That means in between maintenance. I've tried every gray hair coverage system in the beauty market—from hair mascaras, to hair crayons, to liquid hair coverage products, and frankly, I haven't been pleased with any of them. They're either cheap and waxy feeling, or thick and stick to my scalp creating an unnatural looking hair line.

I was just about to give up when I stumbled on Mimic Color, an understated gray hair coverage line I'd never heard about. The sales person suggested that I try both brown and red because my hair is an auburn hue, and in the few months that I've been trying out the brand, I am completely sold.

The product looks like an eye shadow and is applied similarly. It doesn't stain your scalp, the coverage matches perfectly, there's no stickiness, and the gray disappears. Each container sells for $29.99 and lasts for about six months. I can't recommend a better product for your gray hair.
